South Africa is expected to start rolling out the COVID vaccine in 2022 – possibly the end of 2021 if we are lucky. Although the vaccine has not yet arrived in South Africa, it has become a major topic of discussion around the world. In many cases, there has been a lot of controversy around the vaccine. We do not want to focus on the COVID vaccine itself in this article but rather discuss how much the vaccine will affect sanitisation measures once it begins to be rolled out across the country.
Why the COVID Vaccine Won’t Affect Sanitisation Measures
The COVID vaccine has been slowly rolled out within many countries, from the US to the UK. Over time, the goal is to increase immunity to the virus. While it is certainly essential to start finding ways to protect us from the virus, there is still a need to maintain measures that have been in place from the early stages of COVID.
Sanitisers are designed to prevent viruses and bacteria. They have been around for far longer than the coronavirus and will continue being used long after the virus eases. The pandemic has forced many businesses across all industries to re-evaluate their current health and safety measures. Households have also made hygiene measures a priority. Masks will also likely continue being used until COVID levels reduce sufficiently.
