Schools need practical cleaning routines for classrooms, washrooms, staff rooms and food areas. Give particular attention to frequently touched surfaces such as desks, door handles and shared equipment. The methods and schedule should suit the activities, surfaces and occupancy of each area.
Surface Sanitisation for Schools
Start with routine cleaning, then decide where surface sanitisation or disinfection is appropriate. More treatment methods used together do not automatically mean better protection.
Professional ULV fogging and aerosol products.
Total-release aerosol cans are not the same as our professional antimicrobial ULV fogging service. ULV equipment disperses a fine mist for suitable treatment applications. It does not replace cleaning, guarantee coverage behind every object or make every surface safe. The selected product must be suitable for the application method and premises, with preparation and re-entry precautions explained before treatment.
Sanitising stations.
Provide accessible handwashing facilities with soap and water, and consider appropriate hand-sanitiser provision where needed. Include washrooms, eating areas and other busy shared spaces in the school’s hygiene plan. Keep hand-hygiene products separate from surface disinfectants and follow their directions, including supervision where appropriate.
Deep cleaning.
Routine cleaning should cover classrooms, access areas and washrooms. Additional deep cleaning can address buildup and areas missed by everyday work. Agree the schedule around use, condition and cleaning needs, rather than school size alone.
